The right pool cleaner for the pool

The use of pool cleaners is recommended seasonally after wintering, just before the start of the bathing season. It is advisable to drain the pool water completely. Before refilling the pool, the walls and floor of the pool should be thoroughly cleaned mechanically. The next step is to clean the side walls and the bottom of the pool using acidic pool cleaners to remove lime deposits and other heavy dirt such as soot and grease. It is advisable to leave the pool cleaner to take effect to remove stubborn dirt more easily. After treatment with pool cleaners, it is also advisable to treat the pool with algicides, special anti-algae agents that prevent the growth of algae. The pool cleaners of aqua correct, Steinbach's own brand, are designed, produced and tested in Austria. An alkaline pool cleaner is suitable for normal soiling and light grease and lime deposits. For basic cleaning and for heavy soiling, rust and lime deposits, an acidic pool cleaner is recommended. Pool cleaners can be used for indoor and outdoor pools.

ATTENTION: Do not use conventional household cleaners for pool cleaning, as these are not suitable for your pool and significantly reduce the effect of the pool care products. Only use special tools and aids for cleaning pools and pool liners to avoid damaging them.

Note for brown water

If the pool water starts to turn brownish, there are demonstrably higher levels of iron, copper and other metals in the bath water. These metals are deposited on the pool's built-in parts, the floor and walls. Special agents against metal deposits remove the metal and limescale deposits and help to eliminate water turbidity. Always ensure the correct pH value, ideally 7.2. Flocculants and anti-flocculants complement each other and together help to combat cloudiness and deposits. If the water is brown, extend the filtration time and carry out a backwash of the filter system. With a cartridge filter system, the cartridge must be cleaned regularly or replaced if necessary.

Please note that agents against metal deposits - just like flocculants - may only be used with sand filter systems.

As with all chemical aids, please always observe the warnings.
