Which pool heating is useful?
To be independent of external factors such as low temperatures or temperature fluctuations, a pool heater is recommended. The purchase and operation of a heating system for your pool may require more energy and costs, but the right tools, especially a cover sheet that helps to maintain the desired temperature, can help to ensure that the pool heater performs optimally. With solar heating systems of any kind, you only have to take into account the purchase costs, as you get the energy of the sun free of charge.
There are various ways to bring the pool water to the desired temperature. The difference between pool heaters is firstly the type of energy required to heat the pool water:
solar heaters in the form of mats and collectors feed their energy from the sun or solar radiation. Even on cloudy days heat is generated to heat your pool. Solar collectors and solar mats from Steinbach and INTEX heat the pool water in an environmentally friendly and effective way. The ideal installation site for solar heaters of all kinds is flat and south-facing in order to capture the greatest possible amount of sunlight and thus make the best possible use of the energy. The solar heaters are connected after the filter system: part of the cleaned water flows over the solar collectors or solar mats and is heated there before it is released back into the pool. For an optimal and targeted water flow it is advisable to use a bypass set. Depending on the desired temperature and the size of the pool, you can combine several elements to achieve an even stronger and faster heating.
The air heat pumps of the Waterpower model from Steinbach are based on the so-called inverter technology and have a heating and cooling function. The revolutionary R32 gas is used for operation. The operating principle of the heat pump is simply explained: it extracts energy from the ambient air, which is transferred to the pool water. This causes the pool water to heat up to the desired temperature. The Waterpower heat pump uses inverter technology. The difference to the classic technology is that the speed of the compressor is adapted to the temperature. With the inverter technology, the compressor does not constantly change between operation and non-operation. When the set temperature is reached, the speed of the compressor is reduced due to the inverter technology.
The R32 gas used is a safe, hardly toxic and flame-retardant refrigerant. It has a two-thirds lower global warming potential than other conventional refrigerants.
The heat exchanger - which transfers heat from one liquid to another - of the pool heater is made of stainless titanium for a long service life and can therefore also be used in saltwater pools. The installation of air heat pumps - with the help of a bypass that controls the water flow - is possible at any time, even retrospectively.
