Pool heater with solar energy

Solar products use the power of the sun in an intelligent way, which provides enough light and thus energy even on colder days. Solar mats and solar collectors from Steinbach are environmentally friendly tools for heating pool water.

Heating the pool with solar energy

The solar collectors and solar mats from Steinbach and INTEX heat the pool water in an environmentally friendly way using the power of the sun. There are therefore no additional costs for the continuous supply of energy.

The ideal location for solar heating systems of any kind is sunny, flat and south-facing in order to capture the maximum amount of sunlight and thus make the best possible use of the energy. The solar mats or solar collectors are connected after the filter system. For a higher heating capacity and depending on the desired temperature, several elements can be connected. The more elements are installed, the faster the pool water is heated. The larger the pool, i.e. the more litres of water your pool requires, the longer it takes to heat the pool to the desired temperature. The heating power varies depending on the weather conditions and the initial temperature. Additional measures, such as the use of solar panels, improve the heating result, as they help to store the heat of the water.

Please make sure that you have sufficient sunny space available for solar mats and solar collectors. The more elements are placed next to each other, the larger the required flat surface is.

Note

The prerequisite for the installation of a solar heating system is that the pool and filter system are properly installed and functional. A water drain hose and a water inlet hose are necessary for correct functioning. The use of a bypass set is recommended for optimal connection. The bypass is used for targeted control of the water flow and is used for both heat pumps and solar systems. Whether a bypass set is required to operate the solar heating system can be easily read off the pressure gauge of the sand filter system. If the operating pressure increases by 1 to 2 lines, a bypass set should be used. Too high an operating pressure reduces the performance of your sand filter system.
